Better Late than Never eh?

I am a couple of weeks and one post late but here it is........

So Ainsley and I got to celebrate our birthdays in Disneyland. It was a fabulous time. Great weather and great company. Most of Troy's family went and we all flew down on the same plane. Needless to say, there were more kids than adults on that plane I think. We got to spend a day at the beach (bear lake was hot compared to that water) and took a day for Legoland too. Anyway, the kids loved it and it was a nice break from life. Back to reality and hopefully all ready for Christmas. As ready as we are going to get. We are grateful for the season and the chance to reflect and be grateful for what we have been blessed with!

From Ghosts and Gouls to Giving Thanks

In the blink of an eye time goes from Halloween to Thanksgiving. We had a great October and the kids had a blast doing the costume/trick or treat thing. We carved pumpkins on Monday and by Wednesday they were growing mold. It would have been nice if I had done a picture chronicle of the different states of our pumpkins but it all happened so fast! Before the trick or treater's came Troy had to shovel two of the four pumpkins into the garbage as they were oozing "stuff" onto our front porch. I guess that's what 70 degree Octobers do for ya! Our house already looks like Halloween was never here except for the candy wrappers strewn about the house. When I don't hear or see Ainsley I know she is up to her armpits in her candy!

Finally Home for a Weekend

The first three weeks of October we spent in the mountains trying to catch somethin'! We are 0 for 3 with no sadness from Joe. Sorry, no bloody legless animals. I know you are all so sad! We had a good time especially the last weekend because the weather was beautiful! So another hunting season over and now on to bigger and better things to do like a building a shed to store all our crap. I think I will call it the "Crap Shack". All of which (the crap) we use which seems crazy but maybe we will be able to park two cars in our garage instead of one. The baseball gear is now sitting where the Trooper goes because baseball season is over so it isn't sitting in the Trooper where it is all of baseball season. To make a long sentence short, we are hoping to have a more organized garage to store cars and not crap! (of which we use all of it!) This has probably been the blog entry that has made the least amount of sense so I will quit while I am not even ahead! Hopefully Halloween pictures are soon to come if I am with it and remember in the next week or so!

Ready for Fall

I had an opportunity to go to drive up to the mountains above Heber, UT last weekend. I noticed how the leaves have already begun to change. It made me want fall here now. I love getting pants, socks, shoes and sweaters out of the back of the closet. Levi seems to like that also because he started wanting to wear pants when it was still 80 degrees outside. Our bodies seem to sense the coming season change and I say, "bring it on" which also means we are getting ready for the annual "hunting season" (most of the month of October ). The boys have already started asking when we are going. They have a great time playing with cousins and in general, just getting dirty. I have been a slacker on the picture part of our blog so I will be sure to post some pictures of our hunting adventures. I will be sure to leave out anything without skin or legs!

Back to the Madness

I have succumbed and given in to getting up before eight o'clock again, making lunches, daily planners to sign, back packs to go through, homework to help with, etc. etc. Yes, Levi and Hayden started back to school on July 28th. Did I say I was happy? I wasn't excited at all but have decided it is good to be on a schedule again. Along with that we thought we would through into the mix fall baseball, and dance class for Ainsley. We don't really like to sit around very much. So to sum up we are running around like normal.

Went out with a Bang!

Waiting for pony rides with cousins. Ainsley taking it all in. Woah! Levi flying down the waterslide at the speed of light! (yeah that's why
it's blurry!)
Ainsley
Levi
Christian Hayden

It was hot and there were fireworks with a little water in between! What more do we need! We spent a hot and sticky couple of hours at the Riverton Town Days (not so great this year!), caught a movie to cool down, had a great bbq, big ball soccer and fireworks (the kids had more fun playing glowstick tag) with all the Timothy Clan to wrap it all up. By the end of the day we drove home with 2 out of 4 asleep at the end of another great 4th.

It's been awhile and I am getting complaints so I am going to try really hard to post more often. You know life happens and I forget but we have been busy like everyone. It seems like everything has been finishing up. Levi finished 3rd grade, Hayden finished kindergarten and Christian is done with his 1st year of pre-school. Christian also just got done with soccer and Hayden with baseball where they both got to play with cousins and a few friends. Levi finished his regular season of baseball and made the all-star team so we have three more weeks of baseball for him. He is excited and is practicing a lot! Levi had an end of year program where they played guitar and sang cowboy songs and Hayden's class did a little fashion show where the kids got to wear their favorite outfit. Andrew, Michelle and kids spent Memorial Day weekend with us along with Charlynn's kids and mom and dad while she spent her time in the hospital. It was wet and Troy and Andrew framed part of our shed in between rain storms but it was a fun weekend. We are glad to be done with school and ready for summer. The weather has finally now decided to act like summer. Hopefully it will stick! I just returned from Youth Conference and from now on it's one thing after another so the summer will go fast but fun as always. Sorry that is a major condensing of our activites of the last month or so. Will post more of our crazy summer soon.

Okay sorry, here is the picture of the cake. Not so up close but if you can't tell who the transformers are it is Bumblebee and Bulkhead. Our children seem to request more difficult characters every year. Troy makes a pretty good effort!

Levi's 9th birthday. Wow! Can't believe we have a kid that old. He is growing so fast and is a good boy! He pulls the occasional attitude but gets that from his dad for sure! He chose cherry pie for his "birthday cake" because we were "caked out" this month. Hayden's big 6th was earlier this month and they had a combined party at the park with family. Troy decorated the transformer cake and I must say did a pretty goood job. Happy birthday boys! Also, happy birthday to the two twinners, Braden & Peyton, Grandma B. and Aunt Michelle. We love you all!
Okay, so here I go. Charlynn is so completely happy for me that I have succombed to this insanity we all call blogging. One more thing for us all to add to our to do lists but I do have to admit that I like looking at everyone else's. My life feels like a circus at times so now I will share a bit of that with all of you. I hope it is informative, slightly interesting and brings a smile to your day.
